I am a partner in the wills, trusts and probate team. My work involves the preparation of wills, lasting powers of attorney, inheritance tax planning, estate administration, and Court of Protection matters.

I support and assist a wide range of clients, including elderly and vulnerable clients, high net worth individuals, executors and attorneys, families and legacy officers.

I am also a member of the firm’s Charity Committee and work closely with local charities in the area.

  • Advising clients, often generations of families, with complex and high-value estates, recognising the need for tax planning for different family generations
  • The preparation of wills and lasting powers of attorney at short notice, reassuring and assisting clients with terminal illnesses that their wishes have been recorded and legally able to take effect
  • Administration of estates including a variety of assets, distributions to exempt and non-exempt residuary beneficiaries and liaising with the HMRC on the tax implications that arise
  • Contentious issues
  • Advising on administration of trusts and appointment of assets to maximise the inheritance tax allowances and reliefs able to be applied for, significantly reducing the inheritance tax liability of the estate.
