We're pleased to announce a newly-promoted partner and raft of new faces

25 September 2020

We’re pleased to announce a newly-promoted partner and a raft of new appointments.

Suzanne O’Riordan has been named as the firm’s newest partner, having been with the firm for more than 20 years. A well-known face in the county for her conveyancing expertise, Suzanne has led our residential property team in recent years and now brings the firm’s count of partners to 12.

We have also appointed five additional legal experts to further strengthen our private client and commercial offerings.

Solicitor Tom O’Riordan re-joins our wills, trusts & probate team after working at Lodders. We also welcome private client executive Sian Devereux-Renny, further expanding one of the largest private client teams in the county.

From Tayntons, solicitor James Melvin-Bath is appointed to our litigation & dispute resolution team, alongside solicitor Jessica Whooley who joins from Porter Dodson. The department works with businesses and individuals, advising on the full range of disputes from those relating to property and inheritance through to contracts and intellectual property.

Over in our well-respected residential property arm, conveyancing specialist Jade Blackwell joins from Hughes Paddison as a legal executive to help meet ever-growing client demand. She brings particular expertise in the purchase of new-build retirement properties.

Of the new recruits, managing partner Bridget Redmond commented “Our people are our greatest asset and we are very proud to attract high-calibre lawyers who share the approachable, straightforward ethos of the firm.

“Despite the pandemic and recession, many areas of the business are experiencing increased client demand. We are pleased to welcome five talented new faces; I’m confident that each will help us continue to deliver the responsive, approachable and quality service that our clients appreciate.”

Of Suzanne’s promotion to partner, Bridget added “I am delighted that Suzanne is our newest partner. She has earned an excellent reputation in the county as a leading practitioner in the field of residential property law, and has been doing a fantastic job of leading the department. Suzanne’s promotion recognises that she is a great asset to the residential property team, and to the firm as a whole.”

The news comes as two of our partners are noted in the latest edition of Chambers High Net Worth – an independent legal guide for high-net-worth individuals – for the second year running. Litigation & dispute resolution partner Paul Gordon and wills, trusts & probate partner Simon Cook have both been recommended in the prestigious guide.
