Corporate & commercial solicitor (full time)

Willans LLP is a full-service law firm with a solid reputation in providing first-class legal advice, high-calibre yet approachable lawyers, and exceptional client care to local, national and international clients. We employ around 100 people from our Regency offices in Cheltenham.

A rare and fantastic opportunity has arisen for a junior solicitor to join our Legal 500 and Chambers rated corporate & commercial team.

A bit about what the role may include:

The successful candidate is joining us at an exciting time of expansion and will work closely with the partners advising on a wide range of matters as well as supporting lawyers in our wider corporate & commercial team whilst building their own caseload.

You may have a few years’ PQE or you may be newly qualified, possessing the drive and ambition to learn quickly to contribute to the continued growth of the practice in a supportive environment.

A bit about what we need from you

The successful candidate will be:

• providing telephone, email, virtual and face-to-face advice to clients on a variety of legal matters
• supporting senior lawyers with corporate transactions and other large-scale projects
• providing advice to our corporate & commercial lawyers
• managing their own caseload, but with an appropriate level of support and supervision depending on their experience
• a team player
• prepared to challenge themselves and develop their expertise

You will also be involved in departmental marketing initiatives, including writing newsletters, and will be given the opportunity to be involved in firm wide marketing events.

Contract: permanent, subject to a satisfactory probationary period

Hours per week: full time
