I am a partner and head up the firm’s agriculture, land & development team.

My varied client base includes rural businesses and private landowners, be they landed estates, trusts or investors.

I advise on a broad range of the issues affecting landowning clients, ranging from rural land management to transactional work, with a particular focus on the disposal of development land.

In addition to core agricultural areas such as the sale and purchase of farms and estates, FBTs and AHA tenancies, agri-environmental agreements, sporting and fishing rights, I also have considerable experience of advising landowners on option, promotion and hybrid agreements for development.

I enjoy working with clients in creating deals that allow farming businesses to continue until land is developed and working alongside private wealth teams to ensure efficient structuring for tax and succession purposes. I also advise on diversification projects, including renewable energy schemes for landowners.

I am a Fellow of the Agricultural Law Association (ALA), a full member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP) and a member of the Country Landowners Association (CLA).
