Supporting Cobalt's Make a Will month for the eleventh year

03 April 2024

Throughout April, our wills, trusts & probate team is donating their expertise to support local medical charity Cobalt’s Make a Will month.

2024 marks the eleventh year of our support for the scheme, which has raised over £125,000 for the charity.

Throughout Cobalt’s Make a will month, our wills, trusts & probate lawyers will be donating their time to write or update straightforward wills, free of charge, in return for making a donation to Cobalt. Appointments are limited, however, so any interested clients are encouraged to book soon.

Simon Cook, partner and head of our wills, trusts and probate team said:

“More than two thirds of us don’t have a will. Creating one can offer you peace of mind that your wishes will be carried out. Although there is no requirement to do so, you may also choose to leave a gift to charity, which can help reduce inheritance tax on your estate.”

Based in Cheltenham, Cobalt is an independent medical charity that helps local people affected by cancer, dementia and other life-limiting conditions. Donations go towards funding research, prevention, state-of-the-art scanning and diagnosis, specialised nursing posts and cancer facilities for the NHS.
