Showing our support to the 20th Gloucestershire Business Awards

06 October 2017

We were delighted to attend the Gloucestershire Business Awards last night, which is now in its 20th year of acknowledging business talent across the county.

We sponsored the ‘Family Business of the Year’ award, which was open to companies large and small across the county, in which founding families are still significantly involved.

The award went to Completely Motoring, a used car centre based in Staverton which was founded in 2009. This was one of two awards that company won on the night, with their admin manager Katie Young also scooping the award for ‘Employee of the Year’.

Paul Gordon, litigation and dispute resolution partner, presented the award at the ceremony at Cheltenham Racecourse, which was attended by over 700 people.

Commenting on our involvement with the awards, Paul Symes-Thompson, head of our corporate & commercial team said: “We have excellent lawyers with first class credentials who help many Gloucestershire businesses on their journeys, from start-ups to large companies. We come across many inspirational businesses and are pleased to support an award that recognises talented family-owned county businesses and discovers new talent, particularly in the year where we celebrate our own 70 years in business.”

We would like to congratulate all those involved – both finalists and winners.
