New faces in our thriving wills, probate & trusts team

20 October 2017

We are delighted to appoint two new solicitors, Jennifer Cockett and Rachel Sugden, to one of our departments this month.

Both have joined our leading wills, probate and trusts team and will undertake all aspects of private client work.

Born and raised in Cheltenham and educated at the University of Warwick, Jennifer joins us from Lodders in Stratford-upon-Avon. She advises clients on wills, lasting powers of attorney and estate administration.

Rachel joins us from the Worcester office of Harrison Clark Rickerbys and advises clients on wills and lasting powers of attorney, inheritance tax planning and the administration of trusts and estates. She is also a full member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP), an internationally recognised professional body.

Simon Cook, the department’s lead partner, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Jennifer and Rachel to the firm. I am confident that they will help us to meet the ever-increasing demand for the approachable, expert legal advice that Willans is known for.

“Our team is now one of the biggest of its kind in the region, and I look forward to seeing our new solicitors share in its success”.

The news comes as the firm secures yet another year of strong rankings in The Legal 500, with clients praising our wills, probate & trusts team’s ability to deliver advice “in a professional and, where appropriate, simplistic way, removing any jargon or perceived prior knowledge.”

Partner Ruth Baker has also been recognised for her exceptional work in Chambers High Net Worth, an international guide to private wealth lawyers aimed at high-net-worth individuals.
