Celebrating the best of Gloucestershire

13 August 2013

We are delighted to be one of the sponsors of this year’s Taste of Gloucestershire Food and Farming Awards and, in particular, to be sponsoring the award for “Best Farmer”.

The awards, now in their third year, celebrate the best of Gloucestershire’s farmers, producers, retailers, pubs, farm shops and restaurants. There are 14 categories.

Margaret Austen, our managing partner said:

“Locally produced food and drink in Gloucestershire is amongst the best in the country and many of our clients are involved in, or are supported by, this industry.”

“The awards are an excellent way for local businesses, no matter how big or small to be ‘put on the map’ and recognised for their effort. So please, I encourage you to nominate your favourites.”

In early 2012 we launched our agriculture and estates department, headed by Frank Smith, who is well known to many in the regional farming community. Frank commented:

“We are delighted to be showing our support for excellence in farming by sponsoring the ‘Best Farmer’ category.”

“We recognise the value of farming and rural businesses to Gloucestershire’s economy. We are keen to show our appreciation and support farmers who have invested in enterprise and care for the countryside. They are important clients of this firm.”

Nominations are open until Friday 13 September. The prize giving ceremony will take place at an awards gala evening on 29 October.
