Our inheritance & trust disputes team is expanding. The team includes members of STEP (the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) and ACTAPS (the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists); experts who are, by definition, the most experienced and senior practitioners in the field of trusts and estates and related disputes. Independent legal guide The Legal 500 describes our inheritance & trust disputes team as “excellent in all aspects: almost immediate response times, with in-depth knowledge and experience.”
An opportunity has arisen for a litigation & dispute resolution solicitor who is ideally 2-5 years’ post qualification experience, at least some of which must have been in inheritance/contentious probate and trust disputes. Some property litigation experience would be an advantage.
The successful candidate is joining us at an exciting time of expansion and will be assisting our contentious probate and trust disputes team deal with a wide range of matters varying in scale and complexity.
A bit about the role:
- providing telephone, email and face-to-face advice to clients on a wide range of contentious probate and trust issues
- supporting senior lawyers with larger, more complex litigation
- managing your own caseload
- helping with department and firm-wide marketing initiatives.
A bit about what we need from you:
- You will have 2–5 years PQE
- You will be enthusiastic, bright and personable with a “can do” attitude and are keen to build your career in this field
- You will be proactive, motivated and able to manage your workload effectively. You will need strong communication skills
- You will need to have excellent case management skills as we will be relying on you to ensure that deadlines are met and enquiries are dealt with quickly and efficiently
- You will also possess strong analytical and research skills
- You will be a strong team player and IT savvy.

Contract: permanent, subject to a satisfactory probationary period
Hours per week: Monday to Friday 9am-5:30pm with an hour for lunch
