Willans advises one of the UK’s leading marketing service providers on share sale
We have advised shareholders of Blueberry Wave, one of the UK’s leading marketing service providers, on the sale of their shares to Veriteva.
Blueberry Wave, based in Cirencester, was established in 2000 by Pamela Bath and Steve Schneekloth and helps brands to deliver enhanced customer experiences through strategic CRM, driven by channel planning, data and analytics in a multi-channel environment. The company employs around 57 people.
Veriteva is a business created by former Lateral Group founders Nick Dixon and Rick Taylor. Lateral Group was a £54m marketing services provider with 400 staff which was sold to DST Output in 2011.
Our corporate & commercial partner Paul Symes-Thompson was the key adviser with support from employment solicitor, Jenny Hawrot.
Paul Symes-Thompson said: “We’ve been advising Blueberry Wave since the early 2000s and have helped them evolve their cutting edge business. This was a complicated share purchase agreement which involved intricate drafting but we were responsive and worked quickly to achieve a mutually beneficial outcome for both companies.”
Pamela Bath, managing director at Blueberry Wave, said: “Paul and his team gave us clear, sensible advice throughout and fast turnarounds each time an issue arose. They ensured the process was robust and complete, giving us great reassurance.
“We view Veriteva as an excellent home for our business to embark upon its next stage of development and we look forward to being part of a powerful, multi-disciplined group.”
