Willans partners with the Fresh: Art Fair

16 April 2019

The firm is delighted to be a partner of the Fresh: Art Fair, which runs at the Centaur, Cheltenham Racecourse between 26 and 28 April this year.

The fair will give visitors the chance to visit 51 leading UK galleries in one place. There will be 5000 original prints and paintings, sculpture, glass and ceramics from emerging new talent to Royal Academicians, with prices from as little as £100 to £20,000 or more. Blake, Hockney, Hirst, Emin, Sutherland and McLean will all be there.

Galleries exhibiting at Fresh 2019 will include: Quantum Contemporary Art – Chelsea, Lime Tree from Bristol, Doorway Gallery from Dublin and Byard Art from Cambridge.

5,000 visitors flocked to last year’s Fresh: Art Fair, with 80% of these exhibitors are returning.  This year there will be eighteen new exhibitors from across the UK, bringing a rich variety of genres, media and subjects.

Founder Eleanor Wardle said: “Art fairs provide an important opportunity for galleries to reach potential customers. But even more so, art fairs make it easy and enjoyable for art lovers to find the art they love. They can see fifty or more top quality galleries in one place in a couple of pleasant hours with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. It’s not easy to buy art online …you need to see it, feel it, even walk around it”

This year, as well as new exhibitors and fresh art, there will be new talks and demonstrations to enjoy throughout the weekend.

Throughout the fair Bonhams will be offering free valuations and advice on selling art that you’re thinking of moving on. Visitors are encouraged to bring photos of pre-20th Century artwork with them to Cheltenham.
