Willans host charity concert at Pitville Pump Room

02 February 2016

We are sponsoring a concert in aid of LINC on Saturday 6 February to raise funds for the local cancer charity.

The evening will be a smorgasbord of operatic and musical theatre favourites to brighten up the winter chill and performances will be throughout the evening in between courses.

Soprano Cheryl Brendish, who performs with Cornwall’s Duchy Opera Troubadours will be joined by friends, Melanie Hoadley (soprano); John Hobbs (baritone) and accompanied by Paul Drayton on piano at the iconic Cheltenham landmark, Pitville Pump Room.

Singing for the first time in the county, Cheryl is internationally recognised as an accomplished soprano, performing all over the country and spending time performing in Australia.

Karen Organ, LINC fundraising manager says:

“It is really exciting that we are going to benefit from this unique opportunity to hear Cheryl perform for the first time in the county, if it wasn’t for the support of Willans LLP, evenings like this would just not be possible, not only does it benefit local patients, it enables anyone to enjoy them perform locally, rather than travelling to Cornwall.”

James Grigg, partner and head of our charity committee, said:

“We are delighted to be further supporting our charity of the year, LINC, with this glamorous evening. They are a very worthy local charity and we look forward to a special evening with many of their other guests.”
