We have taken on a new charity challenge for LINC

27 August 2015

We are delighted to announce that we have chosen to support the Leukaemia and Intensive Chemotherapy fund for our annual year of fundraising.

Some of the members of our charity committee took time from their busy day to visit the staff at LINC’s office and nurses working on Rendcomb ward side rooms. They were shown how their fundraising will benefit the ward; currently the en-suite facilities in the eight single isolation rooms are in need of refurbishment.

Willans is one of the county’s leading full service law firms and is currently a finalist in several award categories for its corporate social responsibility work in the community (Gloucestershire Business Awards and Local Business Charity Awards).

James Grigg, partner and head of Willans’ charity committee, said:

“We are pleased to have chosen local cancer care fund LINC as our charity for the year 2015/2016. They are very active in the community and work incredibly hard to provide both financial and psychological support to help people cope with their diagnosis and keep families and relationships together.

“We look forward to combining our staff’s ideas and efforts to deliver some great fundraising events for this fantastic charity which is close to our hearts.”

Karen Organ, LINC fundraising manager says:

“We can’t thank the people at Willans enough; they have already started working on their busy year of fundraising. It means a lot to our staff when the time is taken by fundraisers to see how their efforts will benefit the patients.”
