We are delighted to announce that Maybe* has won the Digital Business of the Year Award sponsored by our firm at the Gloucestershire Business Awards this year.
Paul Symes-Thompson, head of our corporate & commercial team, presented the award to Maybe* during an awards dinner attended by more than 750 people at Cheltenham Racecourse last Thursday.
It was a new award open to all Gloucestershire businesses operating online and recognises those who excel in all aspects of ecommerce to achieve growth and a strong financial performance through exceptional customer experience.
Maybe* has developed a ground-breaking solution that addresses the challenges presented to shoppers, retailers and places in today’s rapidly evolving retail marketplace. When consumers shop online, they can save items to the platform that they like but haven’t actually bought, allowing them to continue browsing, but keeping a log of them for consideration at a later stage. Not only this, the platform also links them to a physical location offline through their smartphone, allowing the shopper to view the item in store on the high street.
Commenting on the news of the award win Maybe* founder Polly Barnfield OBE said:
“We’re absolutely delighted to win the award. Considering we only recently launched Maybe*, it’s a fantastic accolade to achieve, especially when you realise we’re still at a relatively fledgling stage in terms of what we’re aiming to do.
“This award is a wonderful endorsement of what we’re hoping to offer to retailers and consumers across the UK.”
Paul Symes-Thompson said:
“It has been a pleasure supporting the awards which we’re told are the biggest of its kind staged by a regional newspaper group. Many congratulations to Maybe* on their achievement. We look forward to watching how they progress and wish them the best of luck with their expansion plans for rolling out their business nationally.”
The company is working with GFirst LEP and are the driving force behind the Great Gloucestershire High Street campaign, which is encouraging shoppers to embrace the high street.
