Lawyers back Pate’s Grammar

03 February 2016

We are delighted to be supporting Pate’s Grammar School in Cheltenham by sponsoring their new house. Over the next few years, the school will increase student numbers and its current houses simply can’t accommodate so they are introducing a fifth house with the new intake of pupils at the start of term, this September.

Named after the Earl of Pembroke, Pembroke house joins existing houses, Beaufort, Gloucester, Richmond and York.

Pate’s headmaster, Russel Ellicott said he was extremely grateful for our support and that:

“Pate’s house system is very important to us: it provides a cross year structure enabling students to make new friendships and is the basis of fabulous competitions, the number of which seems to increase year on year. However we would not be able to run the system as we currently do, without the sponsorship from local businesses.”

Our managing partner, Bridget Redmond said:

“Having been a part of the county since 1947, the firm has a strong connection to Pate’s. A number of our lawyers are former pupils and many staff are parents of current or former students of the school. We are delighted to support Pembroke house and a new chapter in Pate’s history.”
