Top residential property lawyer rejoins Willans

17 March 2014

We are delighted to welcome back highly-regarded solicitor, Robert Draper to our expanding residential property department.

Robert previously worked for us some six years before spending time with a Cotswold firm.

Having gained valuable experience in the Cotswolds, Robert is returning to Willans as a key member of the firm’s expanding residential property team.

In addition to handling all aspects of residential property work, Robert also acts for property developers in relation to both land acquisition and plot sales, as well as for clients with rural property, in which he has a particular interest.

Commenting on his new role, he says:
“I thoroughly enjoyed my time at my previous firm but was looking for new challenges closer to home. I am delighted to be returning to Willans and am looking forward to re-acquainting myself with old colleagues and clients as well as getting to know new ones.

“Willans has steadily evolved and grown in the nine and a half years that I have been away and it is an exciting time to be re-joining the firm, which has such a highly regarded reputation across all areas of the practice. I am particularly pleased to be joining a firm with such great expertise in commercial and agricultural property and I look forward to working closely with the lawyers in those teams.”

Bridget Redmond, head of Willans’ residential property team, said:
“I’m delighted that we are welcoming Robert back to Willans. He is a very experienced lawyer with a professional yet relaxed manner and will be a great asset to our team and to the firm. His knowledge of rural matters, acquired largely whilst practising in the Cotswolds, complements the existing skills we have within the department.

“The high level of activity in the residential property market in recent months has meant that we are receiving very large numbers of instructions into the department, which is good news. Robert’s arrival will ensure that we can deal with the increased work levels properly and continue to provide the great service that the department is known for.”
