Robert Draper moves into residential property head role

14 October 2014

Newly appointed partner Robert Draper now leads our Law Society-accredited residential property team.

Robert has over 20 years’ experience in property. He handles all aspects of residential property work but his particular specialisms lie in his in-depth knowledge of the Cotswolds and the work he does for developers.

He leads a 9-strong team of seven conveyancing lawyers and two paralegals whose client base extends beyond the Cotswolds and Gloucestershire.

Commenting on his new role, he says:

“I am thoroughly enjoying being back at Willans. It is a privilege to have been asked to head up such a well-respected department. I am looking forward to leading the team as we continue to go from strength to strength.”

Robert rejoined Willans six months ago, having previously worked there for six years, before spending nine and a half years with a Cotswold law firm.

Bridget Redmond, former head of our residential property team, took on the new role as joint managing partner earlier this year. While her focus is on the management of the firm as a whole, she continues to provide ad hoc support to Robert and the team.

Bridget congratulated him on the promotion. She said:

“I’m absolutely delighted at Robert’s appointment as head of our residential property department. He’s perfect for the role and I think he will do a fantastic job. Willans has an excellent reputation and Robert will be heading up a truly exceptional team.”
