A brush with the law

28 September 2010

A team of our staff swapped their law books for paintbrushes to give Oakley Resource Centre a fast facelift last month.

Nine lawyers and staff volunteered to spend an afternoon decorating the conference and training area at the Clyde Crescent centre.

Partner James Grigg explained: “The charity that runs the neighbourhood project is one of Willans’ clients. We acted for them when they took over the £1.2 million building in 2008.

“When we heard that the training and conference rooms were in need of a fresh coat of paint, we offered our services.

Kevin Potts, manager of the neighbourhood project, said:  “We are thrilled that so many staff at Willans volunteered to help. Support like this makes a huge difference to sustaining this much-needed facility so a big thank you to Willans for their help.”

Our volunteers were James Grigg, Trula Brunsdon, Simon Hodges, Suzanne O’Riordan, Grace Quinn, Susie Wynne, Katie Froude, Lesley Kadwell and Bernard Geerlings.
