100 years combined experience in the corporate team with a new recruit

13 October 2016

We have welcomed a fifth solicitor to our “first-class” corporate and commercial team this week, boosting the department to around 100 years combined experience in advising the full spectrum of businesses.

Associate, solicitor Caroline Leviss, who qualified at a west end firm in 2001, joins us from Stone King where she worked for over nine years heading up its Bath office corporate and commercial team.

She advises directors, partnerships, SMEs, sole traders and national companies on the full range of corporate and commercial work and has extensive experience, including mergers and acquisitions, company reorganisations, banking, venture capital and joint ventures.

This news comes off the back of the recent listing in the Legal 500 national legal guide describing Willans’ corporate & commercial department as “very knowledgeable on corporate matters and display first-class commercial awareness.”

Paul Symes-Thompson, lead partner in the corporate & commercial department, said:

“We’re delighted that Caroline has joined the firm. She brings strength in depth to our growing team of dynamic lawyers who advise a wide range of businesses. She will also complement the firm’s strong charity team with her extensive experience working with national and local charities including academies and independent schools.”

Commenting on her new role, Caroline Leviss said:

“I’m delighted to be working with such a great team at Willans. They’ve made me feel extremely welcome and I look forward to meeting local businesses and charities as I settle into the area. Cheltenham seems a fantastic town and I can’t wait to explore what it has to offer.”
