Our lawyers join the line-up of speakers at Cheltenham Literature Festival

30 August 2013

We are delighted to be one of the speakers at an event at Cheltenham Literature Festival this October.

The festival is a world-renowned 10-day celebration of reading, writing and authors and we have been proud sponsors for many years.

To tie in with the festival’s central theme of memory, one of our wills, probate and trusts lawyers will join psychologist-in-residence Dany Nobus to present a talk on ‘Making Memories Last’.

We will discuss the legalities and importance of managing your personal affairs and will also highlight issues to consider when creating lasting powers of attorney, and making, or revising your will.

Susie Michelson, Literature Festival Development Officer at Cheltenham Festival, said:

“At this year’s Festival we are exploring ‘Memory’ – the lasting thread that weaves together our lives and history. This ‘Making Memories Last’ event, all about preserving memories and passing them on, will be a fascinating exploration of legacy.

“We are delighted to welcome a solicitor from Willans LLP to discuss the legal considerations of making lasting powers of attorney, making or revising your will.”

After the hour-long talk, the wills, trusts & probate team will be on hand to answer both general and more personal questions.

The event will be held on Monday 7 October at The Exchange, Montpellier Gardens at 2pm. Tea and coffee will be served afterwards.

Tickets go on sale to the public on Monday 2 September. To buy tickets please visit the festival’s website or alternatively, visit the ticket office located in the Regent’s Arcade, Cheltenham.
