New employment law seminar dates announced

17 April 2014

We are organising a new series of employment law breakfast briefings, which are aimed at building on the success of those over the previous six months.

Held at National Star College, the hour-long ‘employment law to go’ breakfast seminars provide short and snappy overviews of current issues and changes in employment law, for professionals with responsibility for HR.

Presented by our employment partner Matthew Clayton and associate Laura Davis, these briefings may be of interest to CEOs and directors, HR managers and advisors, and in-house legal advisors.

So as not to interfere with the working day, the sessions are run out-of-hours from 7.30am until 9am. A light breakfast is provided.

The new topics and dates are:

  • 15 May 2014: Top 5 employment law issues for professional practices
  • 8 July 2014: Auto-enrolment and what it means for your employment contracts
  • 23 Sept 2014:  Managing staff sickness and accommodating disabilities
  • 18 Nov 2014: Employment law update (Gloucester venue tbc)

Matthew Clayton, head of Willans’ employment team, said:

“I am delighted by feedback received from delegates at previous seminars. The topics we’ve chosen for the next series of briefings are based on their suggestions. I hope we will attract even more delegates as awareness grows.

“Not only do these seminars help by refreshing knowledge and keeping up-to-speed with employment law changes, they also provide businesses with an excellent networking opportunity to share ideas and experiences with professional colleagues.”
