Personal tax, trusts and probate lawyer Philip Allen moves up to become a partner this month (June 2010).

Philip, who comes from Cheltenham and was educated at Pate’s Grammar School, undertook his training at Hammonds in Leeds and Manchester after gaining a degree at Exeter. He spent a period at an international firm as a pensions lawyer and joined us after eight years with a nationally-recognised niche practice in Leeds.

He specialises in wills, trusts and tax planning and has particular skill in the administration of complex estates.

Senior partner Jonathan Mills, said: “We congratulate Philip on his well-deserved promotion to partner. He has quickly established himself as a very talented and capable lawyer and his experience and expertise is a great asset to the firm.

Philip will work alongside partner Jenifer Gillman who heads up the department of six professionals, handling all aspects of wills, trusts and inheritance tax planning, as well as looking after the affairs of many elderly clients.
