£5.1 million takeover completed

The first deal of 2008 to be completed is the £5.1 million sale of Gloucester-based Online Packaging Ltd to the Macfarlane Group.
Online Packaging is a large UK supplier of packaging materials. The company employs 28 people and has its headquarters in Gloucestershire with additional distribution sites in Wakefield and Hinckley.
The deal was completed by a team of four lawyers within our commercial practice. The corporate work was led by associate Simon Brazier, assisted by Philip Chapman. Partners Laurence Lucas and William Morse respectively handled the property and employment matters connected with the transfer.
Simon Brazier said: Online Packaging is a long standing client and they are always a pleasure to deal with. The management team is remaining with the business and we wish Chris Hutchens and his staff every success within the new organisation.”
